Hero Indian Super League Best Teams

Hero Indian Super League (ISL) is now one of the popular professional football leagues in the world. From the first season onwards it gained maximum supports from India as well as from the rest of the world. Fist season was started with less famous players in each team still it made a mark in football leagues. Current champion of ISL is Atlético de Kolkata owned by cricket legend Sourav Ganguly and the famous football club Atlético Madrid. They won first title and created history by beating the famous ISL team who Kerala Blasters for 1–0. Now let us have a look at the best team in hero Indian super league.

ISL was started with a difference from major football leagues using the franchise system in which eight teams were selected to participate in the league. It started as for a plan to promote football in India and to raise the standards of Indian football to an international level. Top teams participated in the first season were:

  • Goa

Most of the teams were bided by high profile celebrities from India. During the first season two top teams in ISL where Kerala Blasters owned by the cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and Atlético de Kolkata owned by the cricket legend Sourav Ganguly. These two teams managed to have a large no of fans all over the world. But according to fan support Kerala blasters were the top team in ISL. Their home ground Kochi witnessed a large no of fans to support them in each game. So they became the team having the highest average attendance of about 50,000. Then northeast united also attained fan support after Kolkata and Kerala. Mumbai,goa,chennaiyin,delhi and pune also had a good fan following.

Atlético de Kolkata were champions for two times defeating Kerala Blasters. Chennaiyin were the champion of the 2015 season.
